I cannot quite digest this. She was 89.
For those of you who might not have heard, she is the author of the highly acclaimed novel “To Kill a Mockingbird”, which is a story tracing the racial injustice in a small town in Alabama, America. It was her first novel but she became one of the first American authors to sell 10 million copies and her book went on to be one of the most taught works of fiction by an American author.
The book is a MUST read, so I will not go on to talk about it and ruin it for those who haven’t.
This is just so sad- beautiful quote
