If you knew what I look like would you change your opinion of me.

A case of judging a book by its cover and we are all familiar with that.

Would you judge me if you knew what I looked like?
Would you judge me by the clothes I wear?
Would you judge me by the colour of my skin?
Would you judge me by the food I eat?
Would you judge me by the language I speak or the accent I take up?
Would you judge me from the country I come from?
Would you judge me for the faith I follow?
Would you judge me for the gender I am?

Would you still like me if you knew who I really am?

Well said by Anonymousblogger! A perfect summary of ridiculous societal expectations.

  1. No! You are amazing in every way! Nobody should change their view on someone just because of the way one looks. That would be horrible. All that matters is your personality, a personality that we all love. Looks wouldn’t change a single thing, dearie. 😉

  2. I would judge by the character of the person, not by any of the things listed; although, the sort of clothes you wear might show the kind of thing you like…….

  3. If find it’s sometimes quite difficult not to judge people by what they look like, but I’d say it’s wrong to. Another thing; how pretty you are is a different thing from what you look like. It would be wrong to judge people by how pretty they are, but, given that expressions often reveal a lot, is it wrong to judge by what there expression is?

  4. We are a very visual society that places a value on the things we see. Fair or not since the beginning man has placed value of what they see…Adam’s first words based on what he saw a beautiful woman named Eve. Is it right? Is it wrong? Take away our sight and then that would become a true test of our character on the things we can’t see.
