Taylor Swift won a GRAMMY for the second time this year, and she had some wise wise words! I’m not a huge fan of what she does, but she has got where she is by working hard and sticking to her dreams through thick and thin, so from one sister to another, Atta girl RESPECT! We need to praise you for that!
She had some words for those who try to bring her down, in the form of advice to those of us who are just starting out!
“….I want to say to all the young women out there, there are going to be people along the way who will try to undercut your success or take credit for your accomplishments or your fame. But if you just focus on the work and you don’t let those people side track you, some day when you get where you are going, you will look around and you will know that it was you and the people who love you who put you there. And that will be the greatest feeling in the world…..”
Whether you succeed in achieving what you set out to do, depends MOSTLY on you.
Having the right attitude, the one where you don’t give up when failure hits you in the gut, the one when you don’t throw it away when it doesn’t seem to be going anywhere, the one when you sit up straight and give people a piece of your mind about why you are doing your thing, is what will give your journey to the end of the tunnel a definition, a sense of worth. It’s yours, so why depend on others.
Forget those who do not spare you the rude comments on how it looks like when its being done, because its a work in progress after all. Keep the words of those who are happy that you are journeying towards your dreams. We need to keep working at it, day in day out, and it will be worth it. As I said earlier its important that you put to action what you want to achieve, because in the end “dreams don’t work unless you do” too.
On your journey negate the haters, the offenders and the negative BS shooters. They are all mostly jealous. (the evil eye is real people!!) Just forgive and forget, and keep looking forward. We are all created equal, beautifully human, and one simply must find one’s switch and turn it on! The time it takes you to get there is a test of faith perseverance and courage. Keep going! Everyone has their own test, and their own pace.
Stick to the people who keep you grounded, and remind you of your worth, because you are as beautiful a human as you can get, ‘no one can make you inferior without your consent’
My very best wishes to you.

I’m happy for Swift. I don’t like her music too much but she works SO hard for everything so she definitely deserved her Grammies
